The aerobatic flight training at Barnstormers is geared to personal attention. Every flight consists of a thorough brief before a pilot under instruction (PIU) flys and a debrief after the flight. Maximum usage of the flying hour is thereby achieved eliminating wasted flight time trying to cover flight maneuver procedures while in the air. Briefs and debriefs are charged at 75% of flight instruction time as compared to 100% at other schools.
We fly the Pitts Special S-2C, a
brand new aircraft, for Unusual Attitude Training, Corporate Upset Training,
Spin Training, Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and/or Unlimited Aerobatic Flight
Training each block consisting of five flights each.. We provide flight
training for competition aerobatics and will rent the aircraft to those who
wish to use it for aerobatic competition meets.
Are you a seasoned aviator? --- Yes! Ever fly a tail-dragger? --- No! Well, we will give you a thorough check out on the so-called notorious nasty habits of the tail-dragger aeroplane. No need to fear though, the reputation is not warranted, but it is certainly different. A proper tail-dragger check out will make you an all-around better pilot and instill good habits when flying a tri-gear airplane. Besides flying a Tail-dragger is lots of fun! Our instructors have 1000's of hours in all types of tail-draggers --- piece of cake!
Tired of flying point A to point B? Aerobatic flight instruction is available for those individuals desiring an exciting, challenging, and rewarding form of flying. Aerobatic flight in-stills confidence in the novice flyer and provides the outlet for relaxation, often times needed, for the professional pilot. Flight training in aerobatics provides the pilot with an improvement in basic airwork, confidence in all unusual attitudes and a mastery of the aircraft’s outer portion of the maneuvering envelope. The pure joy of flying is now available through Barnstormers! Barnstormers is the only flight school, in the Denver area, that offers Solo aerobatic aircraft rental after proper check-out.
Our Standardization Instructors are dedicated professionals
(each having 5000+ hours and are former military/airline pilots) who love to
fly. Their motivation is teaching newcomers, imparting invaluable experience
and knowledge to the fledgling aviator. They instruct because it's enjoyable
and satisfying for them. However, professional pilots demand professional fees.
Compared to other professional industries the aviation field is truly a
bargain! Barnstormers Chief Pilot is a former Marine Corps fighter pilot who
flew the F-4 Phantom and A-4 Skyhawk and now flys the B-777 for a major
airline. Barnstormer’s curriculum is modeled after the Navy/Marne Corps
aggressive and standardized flight training program. Come join the rank of

Barnstormers is located at Centennial Airport (KAPA) 20 miles
south, south-east of Denver, Colorado just 4.5 miles east of I-25 on Arapahoe
Rd. Turn right (south) on Peoria and bear to the right, continue south (past
the Control Tower) then east to the large C.B. Air Office (Hangar 13). Call us

Aircraft rental and instruction fees are as follows**:
Aerobatic Aircraft Pitts S-2C rental (w/parachutes) - $ 270.00/hr wet*
Aerobatic Flight Instruction - $ 50.00/hr*
*All flight time computed in tenths of an hour using Hobbs meter and includes the cost of fuel. **All fees are subject to change.
